A demographic shift that calls for a change of scale
In France, population ageing and disability create a housing need that current supply does not meet — Omvita carries the social dimension of this challenge.
Current supply will not be enough
Conventional homes are often poorly suited to ageing and loss of independence. Keeping current practices would require around 365,000 additional nursing-home (Ehpad) places by 2050. Serviced senior residences are not affordable for every budget.
Disability: a housing need in its own right
More than 6 million people held at least one open entitlement with a disability centre (MDPH) at the end of 2023. Access to adapted housing — independence, inclusion, life at the heart of the community — remains a major challenge.
Intermediate housing solutions to be created by 2050
Omvita — start from needs before building
The Omvita association carries the social, inclusive and human dimension of our model. It works alongside local authorities, social landlords, private and national developers, social and health-care providers and future residents to design projects tailored to the real needs of each territory.
From small villages to large cities: giving everyone the chance to live in suitable housing, at the heart of their community.

Starting from the real needs of each territory, before building.
A pipeline already under way, several housing types
Older people, people with disabilities, young people and students, intergenerational housing, vulnerable groups: the projects in development cover a wide range of needs. Pages dedicated to territories and case studies will be published as projects are delivered.
